Blog Makeover in Collaboration with Blogerize

July 18, 2019

If you’ve been here for a while, maybe you’ve noticed my blog’s little facelift (See below for what it used to look like!) A few weeks ago, I received an email from Emily of Blogerize asking if I wanted to collaborate with them on giving my blog a makeover. Since I was less than thrilled with how my blog was currently set up, and since I have zero knowledge about website design, I decided it would be the perfect opportunity!

Emily said that their web design team could basically do anything I wanted-themes, colors, whatever. I didn’t have anything in particular in mind but knew that I wanted to incorporate my signature color, blush pink, into the website somewhere. By the next day, Emily sent me what the web designers had come up with and it was beautiful! So simple, clean and professional looking! I had just a few changes that I wanted to make, and since everything is completely customizable, they were able to make those changes right away. I moved to a self-hosted site, and let Emily take the reigns. She did all the importing, transferring, and setting up for me. All I had to do was redirect the site the following day, and she gave me step-by-step instructions for exactly how to do that, which was amazing and so easy to follow, especially for a tech-dummy like myself! It was the easiest and most seamless process ever, and I’m so thankful to Emily and the whole Blogerize team for this new website.

I’m so excited because this new website is also more user friendly for all of you, my readers! It’s now divided up into categories and easier to reference specific articles. There’s also a search bar that makes it easy to search for certain recipes without having to scroll for a million miles. I hope this blog will be an awesome resource for all of you for a long time!

Finally, if you’ve ever thought about starting a blog, I highly encourage you to check out Blogerize. They have FREE courses that you can take that teach you step by step how to set up a blog and get it up and running. It’s a really great resource to help you out to start your blogging journey, or if you just want to learn some new tips and tricks.

Hope you enjoy my new website as much as I already have and find it useful and helpful!
